Abstract:
The article is devoted to the current state and development of the human potential of the North Caucasian federal district. The assessment of human potential is based on four basic components such as education, health, demography and culture. The analysis showed positive dynamics of human potential development in all subjects of the region during the analyzed period of time. Most of the republics of the North Caucasus are characterized by high indicators of human potential. High values of the index are explained by high birth rate and life expectancy, as well as national and cultural traditions. Among the main problems in the development of human potential, the most urgent are the problems of education and the problems of high migration loss of the population.
