Abstract:
Russian transport complex is a resource-intensive sector of the national economy. The population prosperity and current national economy climate depend on its sustainable work. However, the high proportion of infrastructure in the transportation process requires a significant amount of financial resources involvement. Therefore, government supports the transport complex by subsidy. This article demonstrates the need to increase the railway companies’ government support. A comparative analysis of state support between aviation, rail and road transport is presented. The necessity of development of high-speed railway communications has been proven.
