Abstract:
What is the main problem of Russian mono-industry towns? Often they are not able to compete with large metropolitan enterprises and if the town-forming company is pushed out from the market, the life in the city stops. How to reform the economy of mono-industry towns for their sustainable development? The article considers the position of the scientific community concerned about the search of theoretical foundations to solving this problem.
