Abstract:
The article explored the basic principles of the concept of lean manufacturing, which is based on the Japanese experience of managing Toyota, which was successfully used by large global companies, including the first time applied in 2004 in the Nizhny Novgorod region at Gorky Automobile Plant JSC. In the article, the authors reviewed the experience of implementing lean production in the Nizhny Novgorod region in the framework of a joint project of the Nizhny Novgorod region government and the Rosatom state corporation “Effective guberniya”. This project involves the introduction of lean manufacturing technologies in industry, health care, education, agriculture, government and social sphere in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Much attention is paid in the article to the introduction of lean technologies at the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region, for example, the Nizhny Novgorod aviation plant Sokol JSC, the Krasnoye Sormovo plant PJSC, the Nizhny Novgorod plant of the 70th anniversary of the victory JSC. The authors identified general and specific factors hindering the introduction of lean manufacturing enterprises in the defense industry complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region, which include a shortage of experts on lean technologies, a lack of funds for personnel training, a long production cycle for manufacturing products, etc. In the article, the authors identified the stages of introducing the concept of lean manufacturing at Nizhny Novgorod defense industrial enterprises, including design, implementation, improvement and development.
