Abstract:
A developed regional innovation system is one of the fundamental factors for the effective functioning of the regional economy and ensuring its competitiveness in the national and world markets. This requires a close study of the meaning and role of the quality of economic space in increasing the efficiency of interaction between economic entities. The purpose of the proposed research is to develop an algorithm for assessing the state (quality) of the economic space in the aspect of innovative development. The methodological basis of the research is the theory of spatial development and interaction, economic and mathematical models developed for the study of economic interactions, the concept of Russian and foreign researchers in the field of territorial development. The methods of assessing the economic space used statistical, mathematical methods, methods of comparative analysis. The main results of the research are formed systems of parameters and indicators for assessing the state (quality) of the economic space, the developed algorithm for calculating the integral indicators of the concentration level of the main characteristics (parameters) of the economic space and the tools for determining its type.
