Abstract:
Purpose: the purpose of this article is to study the main dependencies between the socio-economic stagnation of individual Russian regions and the level of dependence of these regions on federal subsidies. Materials and methods: the article used statistical and heuristic research methods, which are based on open official data on the socio-economic development of regions published on the Internet. Results: based on statistical information, an analysis of the dynamics of development of regional labor markets was carried out, which showed that in the past three years the leaders and antileaders of the national rating of labor markets are the same regions (leaders: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow Region, Tatarstan and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area; anti-leaders: Altai, Republic of Tyva, Chechen Republic, Karachay-Cherkessia, Republic of Ingushetia). The problem is that depressed economies have a high level of federal subsidies, which are not incentives for social and economic development. Conclusions: the data obtained in the course of the analysis allowed to formulate the following main solutions that can be used to eliminate the imbalances in the socio-economic development of lagging regions, provided that they increase their economic independence and reduce dependence on the federal center subsidies: the development of remote employment in socially and economically depressed regions, which may constitute their competitive advantage at the expense of cheap labor; the arrival in the depressed regions of state corporations (including development corporations) to use the agrarian and industrial potential of these regions due to the material, technological and technological renewal of production.
