Abstract:
Purpose: conduct a comprehensive study of the theoretical and practical aspects of the formation and functioning of intellectual information entrepreneurship as a factor in the development of the country in the era of the global digital economy. The article highlights the current problems of intellectual and information entrepreneurship as a factor in the development of the country in the era of the global digital economy. It is noted that the digital economy is not only a collection of computers, gadgets, programs, etc., but also processes, models and transformations that become possible with their help in the economic, social, cultural and even political plane. In this context, information and intellectual entrepreneurship is becoming a practical engine of the process of formation of the knowledge economy. Materials and methods: the research methodology is based on an integrated approach, which allows to study the problems of information and intellectual entrepreneurship from the perspective of the country’s development in the era of the global digital economy. We used both empirical (observation, generalization, and inference) and quantitative (statistical analysis, dynamic analysis) research methods. The article was prepared on the basis of a review and analysis of publications of foreign and domestic authors: economists, managers, analysts, scientists, theorists and practitioners in the field of entrepreneurship, e-commerce and information technology in business. Results: intellectual-information entrepreneurship is defined as a special type of entrepreneurial activity to create favorable conditions for satisfying complex human needs, aimed at its development and shaping the future, based on constantly-renewable personal knowledge, ability to abstract thinking and adequate functioning in the digital space, which is constantly complicated. At the same time, the use of information and intellectual technologies by businesses, industries, infrastructure organizations, the state, and the population are a kind of driver for the development of the country in the era of the global digital economy. Conclusions: the key areas of support for information and intellectual entrepreneurship that improve the conditions for the spread of innovations in space are identified: namely, support of megacities (the so-called “city-centers”), creating industrial innovations and transmitting them to the periphery; development of infrastructure to reduce the economic distance; improvement of the “second nature” factors – intellectual capital and public institutions.
