Abstract:
The presented study considers the dynamics of number of Russian exporters over the period 2004-2014. It shows on the base of the analysis of Russian companies’ survival scales that the members of Russian exporters change substantially over the time. Moreover, the majority of companies leave export markets in the next year after the start of the export activity. At the same time, there are Russian exporting companies, which have more than ten years of export experience. Despite the relatively small share of such enterprises in the total number of Russian exporters, these companies account for a large share of exports in value terms.
