Abstract:
In the period of crisis, it is important for any company to reconsider changes that happen around it, to assess the factors that affect it, to find its own advantages and to invent new disruptive solutions that will help to reduce expense, to increase profits and to attract new customers. The purpose of this study is to disclose the essence of the concept of “Internet of things”, conditions for its emergence, its current and future significance for the society and the business. Main platforms of Internet of things, standards and development prospects of this direction are analyzed.
