Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to consider new challenges of socio-economic security in the spatial development of the region and to understand them for further application of the results of the analysis in the practice of state and regional management. Based on the research of scientific sources, modern challenges of global integration and their determining influence on the socio-economic security of Russian regions are considered. It is determined that the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic not only caused enormous damage to the world economy, but also broke many stable stereotypes about the effectiveness of post-industrial society and international security. On the example of the Perm Region, it is proved that at present the management of the subjects of the Russian Federation, by analogy with international processes, loses full control over the socio-economic security of the region. Measures to improve the socio-economic security of the region in the context of modern challenges are proposed.
