Abstract:
This monograph describes a comprehensive concept of strategy for the development of labor resources in the Russian Far East. The concept is founded upon a strategizing methodology developed by Academician V.L. Kvint. It takes into account the latest global, national, and regional trends in the development of labor resources, employment, and the labor market, including the significant impact of information-and-communications technology and the emergence of numerous novel forms of employment. The conclusions and recommendations presented in this work are predicated upon an analysis of a wide array of analytical data. The author has conducted an analysis of the process of development of the region’s labor resources, which spans a timeframe from the Tsar period to the present. The work brings forward a set of creative approaches to resolving key issues in the provision of labor resources in the Russian Far East. The author describes a set of criteria for assessing the strategy’s social and economic efficiency. This work may be of interest to a wide group of experts, researchers, and administrative officers concerned with issues related to the strategic development of labor resources in the Russian Far East. In addition, this study may be of benefit for the region’s residents, as well as individuals from other regions who would like to live and work in the Russian Far East.
