Abstract:
The article is devoted to the substantiation of the role of universities in the formation of an ecological outlook. The university is considered as a platform for interaction between society, business and scientific communities. When these subjects work together, a synergistic effect arises that can and should be aimed at solving universal, global problems of a social and environmental nature. To confirm the importance of universities in shaping the ecological outlook of youth, the authors consider a project on the separate collection of plastic waste on the basis of the Ural Federal University. A list of project activities and the project results are given. The sustainability of the project using a stakeholder approach is justified. The role of the university in the implementation of the project and its contribution to the formation of the ecological outlook of youth is shown.
