Abstract:
In the article we present the analysis of means for creating regional added value chains (AVC) on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (hereinafter - the EAEC). We define problems and competitive advantages of the EAEC member countries. The author assesses the potential of countries for the creation and development of regional AVCs, and estimates an index of intra-industry trade for the EAEC countries. For the analysis the author has chosen the petrochemical industry, since it is one of the most promising development sectors, and the countries of the association, possessing the necessary resources and advanced production, can unify the accumulated experience and technology in order to create regional added value chains in this sector.
Keywords: petrochemical industry, Eurasian Economic Union, regional cooperation, added value chains
