Abstract:
The study focuses on the issue of emergence and development of the concept of “synergy”. Semantic differences between concepts of “synergy”, “synergetics”, “synergism” are determined. Different definitions of concepts of “synergy” and “the synergic effect” are represented within the historical context. The critics of approaches to the understanding of the essence of synergy and the synergic effects in existing studies of Russian and foreign researchers is given. The author's definitions of these concepts are suggested that are based on the study of their semantics and results from implementation of M&A transactions in practice.
