Abstract:
The search for a business opportunity is one of the key stages of entrepreneurship and an important subject of study. This article examines the emergence of actor-network theory and its connection with business opportunity. To understand this theory, entrepreneurship is seen as a dynamic and continuous process of "translating" ideas into actual opportunities with the participation of various actors.
The article not only examines Shane and Kruger's business opportunity models and their shortcomings, but also proposes an approach in which actors and networks both inside and outside the business sphere influence the emergence and development of business opportunities.
Finally, a new model of business opportunity is proposed; and issues of its further development and adaptation, as well as possible limitations, are considered.
