Abstract:
The article presents a modern understanding of the definition of digital nomads, describes their essential characteristics and key differences from self-employed citizens and freelancers. It is shown and substantiated that digital nomads play a significant role in the modern labour market, providing information, technological, managerial support, as well as providing various services not only to individuals, but also to legal entities. In addition, the phenomenon of digital nomadism can be used to stimulate the socio-economic development of Russian depressed regions, to replace depleted labour resources, etc. while simultaneously using the financial capital of state corporations for the purposes of development.
