<abstract xml:lang="en">
In the article, the authors consider the impact of generative artificial intelligence technologies on changing the nature of information asymmetry in healthcare and medicine amid digitalization. Large language models are understood by the authors both as an institution influencing the production, distribution and consumption of information and as a factor of the information asymmetry development. It is shown how large language models carry out a structural transformation of asymmetry. The possibilities of simultaneously reducing transaction costs and incurring the costs of using available information to make a decision on concluding a contract are determined. The concept of speed asymmetry as a form of digital inequality is introduced, and the barriers that form it are characterized. They are: infrastructural, technological, competence, structural, resource, and institutional ones. The specifics of speed asymmetry in the healthcare sector in modern conditions are shown. The influence of speed asymmetry on the formation of trust in the healthcare system and the formation of patient compliance is reflected.

<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">
