The article examines the main trends and structural changes in the global passenger air transportation market in the first quarter of the 21st century. The article considers the place of passenger air transportation in international trade in services, analyzes the relationship between the dynamics of passenger turnover and global GDP. Special attention is paid to the transformation of the geographical structure of the market, changing the positions of the largest regions and the concentration of passenger turnover. The cost and physical indicators of international passenger air transportation are compared, and their unit cost per passenger kilometer is calculated. A study of price dynamics is conducted; and the impact of fuel costs, carrying capacity and the competitive environment is considered. The increasing role of the Asia-Pacific region in the global market structure is established. It was found that the long-term growth of international passenger turnover was accompanied by relative stability in value-based macro indicators and a decrease in the specific cost of transportation until 2019, while nominal tariff indices were simultaneously rising. The results obtained indicate the multidirectional dynamics of the physical and cost characteristics of the global passenger air transportation market.

В статье исследуются основные тенденции и структурные изменения мирового рынка пассажирских авиаперевозок в первой четверти XXI в. Рассматривается место пассажирских авиаперевозок в международной торговле услугами, анализируется взаимосвязь динамики пассажирооборота и мирового ВВП. Особое внимание уделяется трансформации географической структуры рынка, изменению позиций крупнейших регионов и концентрации пассажирооборота. Сопоставляются стоимостные и физические показатели международных пассажирских авиаперевозок, рассчитывается их удельная стоимость в расчете на пассажиро-километр. Проводится исследование ценовой динамики; рассматривается влияние топливных издержек, провозной емкости и конкурентной среды. Установлено повышение роли Азиатско-Тихоокеанского региона в структуре мирового рынка. Выявлено, что долгосрочный рост международного пассажирооборота сопровождался относительной устойчивостью стоимостных макропоказателей и снижением удельной стоимости перевозок до 2019 г. при одновременном повышении номинальных тарифных индексов. Полученные результаты свидетельствуют о разнонаправленной динамике физических и стоимостных характеристик мирового рынка пассажирских авиаперевозок
