In the article, the authors, based on FAO data on gross vegetable harvests for 2011-2023, outlined some trends in the development of vegetable growing in the main producing countries. Thirty countries were selected, which occupied the leading positions in terms of vegetable harvest in 2023. For each of them, the change in this indicator and the share occupied in the global gross collections of this food subgroup relative to the level reached in 2011 has been determined. Considering that the top ten countries of the ranking compiled by the authors accounted for 77.38% of global vegetable production, the transformation of their importance in the global harvest was described in more detail. By the end of 2023, we determined the difference between exports and imports of vegetable products in these countries, after which we correlated the calculated results to the gross harvest of vegetables obtained in them. According to them, the authors revealed that the Netherlands had a significant export potential of national vegetable growing - 74.07%, Mexico - 53.81%, Spain - 44.72%, Morocco - 30.41%, Italy - 20.78%. The countries with an average income level include Egypt - 8.52%, Argentina - 8.14%, Turkey - 7.19%, Poland - 5.50%, Uzbekistan - 5.45%. We have determined that they depend quite heavily on imports of vegetable products: Indonesia - 5.36%, Vietnam - 7.30%, Pakistan - 7.71%, Kazakhstan - 8.09%, Russia - 9.39%. Very strongly: South Korea - 13.71%, Bangladesh - 14.07%, Japan - 20.05%, USA - 29.44%, France - 30.95%. The changing importance of Russia in the global production, export and import of vegetable products was also described in more detail.
В статье авторы на основе данных ФАО по валовым сборам овощей за 2011-2023 гг. обозначили некоторые тенденции в развитии овощеводства в основных производящих странах. Было отобрано тридцать государств, которые занимали передовые позиции по урожаю овощей в 2023 г. По каждому из них определены изменения данного показателя и доли, занимаемой в глобальных валовых сборах этой продовольственной подгруппы относительно достигнутого в 2011 г. уровня. Учитывая, что на первую десятку стран составленного авторами рейтинга приходилось 77,38% от общемирового производства овощей, трансформация их вклада в глобальный урожай была охарактеризована более подробно. По итогам 2023 г. была определена разница между экспортом и импортом овощной продукции в данных государствах, после чего соотнесли рассчитанные результаты с полученным в них валовым сбором овощей. Согласно расчетам, авторы выявили, что значительным экспортным потенциалом национального овощеводства обладали Нидерланды (74,07%), Мексика (53,81%), Испания (44,72%), Марокко (30,41%), Италия (20,78%). К государствам со средним ее уровнем можно отнести Египет (8,52%), Аргентину (8,14%), Турцию (79,19%), Польшу (5,50%), Узбекистан (5,45%). Мы определили, что довольно сильно зависят от импорта овощной продукции Индонезия (5,36%), Вьетнам (7,30%), Пакистан (7,71%), Казахстан (8,09%), Россия (9,39%), очень сильно зависят Южная Корея (13,71%), Бангладеш (14,07%), Япония (20,05%), США (29,44%), Франция (30,95%). Более подробно было охарактеризовано изменение доли России в глобальном производстве, экспорте и импорте овощной продукции.
