The food industry is an important industry that ensures the countryrsquo;s food security. Competitiveness as a direction of the struggle for the buyer is represented by various factors of the macro- and microenvironment, the most important of the external factors of influence is scientific and technological progress. Analyzing the state of competitiveness of the food industry in the digital economy as a new stage of technological development of society will allow the food industry to identify new areas and niches. In the course of the research, external and internal factors of competitiveness were identified and solutions were identified. Over the past five years, there has been an increase in food production while reducing the cost of innovation. Investments in innovation processes involving the implementation of modern or improved technological processes are the lowest. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the development of an authorrsquo;s model for the introduction of innovative technologies in the food industry and the disclosure of ways to increase the competitiveness of this industry in the digital economy. The results obtained are expected to be used in further research to develop methodological foundations for the digital transformation of the food industry as a factor in the growth of competitiveness. The introduction of the entire food process chain into the ecosystem, starting from the manufacturer of agricultural products and ending with the delivery of food in waste-free packaging is an urgent task of the state and business at the current stage of societyrsquo;s development.
Пищевая отрасль - важный сегмент промышленности, обеспечивающий продовольственную безопасность страны. Конкурентоспособность как направление борьбы за покупателя представлена различными факторами макро- и микросреды, важнейший из них - научно-технический прогресс. Оценка конкурентоспособности предприятий пищевой промышленности в условиях цифровой экономики как нового этапа технологического развития общества позволит упомянутой отрасли выявить новые направления и ниши. Установлены внешние и внутренние факторы конкурентоспособности и предложены пути решения. В динамике пяти последних лет наблюдается рост производства пищевой продукции при снижении затрат на инновационную деятельность. Наиболее низок объем вложений в процессы инновации, предусматривающие реализацию современных или усовершенствование технологических процессов. Научная новизна исследования заключается в разработке авторской модели реализации инновационных технологий в пищевой промышленности и обоснование направлений повышения конкурентоспособности отрасли в условиях цифровой экономики. Полученные результаты предполагается использовать в дальнейших исследованиях для разработки методологических основ цифровой трансформации пищевой промышленности как фактора роста её конкурентоспособности последней. Реализация всей цепочки технологического процесса продуктов питания, начиная от производителя сельскохозяйственной продукции до доставки еды в безотходной упаковке - весьма актуальна для государства и бизнеса на современном этапе.
