The article presents the results of the historical and economic analysis of the implementation of large-scale projects for the development of virgin and fallow lands in the eastern and southeastern regions of the USSR in the 50-60s and increasing the efficiency of the use of unproductive lands on the basis of their reclamation in the Non-Chernozem zone of the RSFSR in the 70-80s of the last century, which testify to both their positive and negative impact on the development of agro-industrial production and the state of the natural environment. The conclusions of the analysis indicate the need to take into account the lessons of history in the planning and implementation of modern programs for the involvement of unused agricultural land in active turnover.
В статье представлены результаты историко-экономического анализа реализации масштабных проектов освоения целинных и залежных земель в восточных и юго-восточных районах СССР в 50-60-е годы и повышения эффективности использования малопродуктивных земель на основе их рекультивации в Нечерноземной зоне РСФСР в 70-80-е годы прошлого века, которые свидетельствуют как об их положительном, так и об отрицательном влиянии на развитие агропромышленного производства и состояние природной среды. Выводы проведенного анализа говорят о необходимости учета уроков истории при планировании и реализации современных программ вовлечения в активный оборот неиспользуемых земель сельскохозяйственного назначения.
