On August 19 of this year, the scientific community celebrated the 105th anniversary of the birth of Academician Alexander Alexandrovich Nikonov (19.08.1918 - 05.10.1995), an outstanding scientist and statesman, the last president of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences named after V.I. Lenin (VASHNIL), the founder of the Agrarian Institute. An open meeting of the Academic Council of the All-Russian Institute of Agrarian Problems and Informatics named after A.A. Nikonov, a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Research Center VNIIESH, held on August 22, was dedicated to this event. For the anniversary, A.A. Nikonov's book The historical Path of VASHNIL and its contribution to agricultural science was republished, containing a historical and journalistic essay on the activities of VASHNIL for 63 years of its existence - from 1929 to 1992, and the last interview of A.A. Nikonov, given by him in September 1995.
19 августа с.г. научная общественность отметила 105 лет со дня рождения академика Александра Александровича Никонова (19.08.1918 - 05.10.1995) - выдающегося ученого и государственного деятеля, последнего президента Всесоюзной академии сельскохозяйственных наук имени В.И. Ленина (ВАСХНИЛ), основателя Аграрного института. Этому событию было посвящено открытое заседание Ученого совета Всероссийского института аграрных проблем и информатики имени А.А. Никонова - филиала ФГБНУ ФНЦ ВНИИЭСХ, состоявшееся 22 августа. К юбилею переиздана книга А.А. Никонова Исторический путь ВАСХНИЛ и её вклад в аграрную науку, содержащая историко-публицистический очерк о деятельности ВАСХНИЛ за 63 года её существования - с 1929 г. по 1992 г., и последнее интервью А.А. Никонова, данное им в сентябре 1995 года.
