The article examines the prospects for the formation of an independent financial infrastructure within the framework of the BRICS association. The article focuses on reviewing both existing core mechanisms, such as the Pool of Conditional Foreign Exchange Reserves and the New Development Bank, as well as innovative projects, including BRICS Clear, BRICS Bridge and BRICS Pay. The benefits and opportunities of this infrastructure are analyzed. Barriers that may slow down the implementation of these projects are identified. Special attention is paid to the prospects for the introduction of a supranational digital currency; and its potential and development trends of financial institutions participating in the project are analyzed. The conclusion on the strategic importance of a consistent approach to the development of financial infrastructure as a tool to increase the stability of the BRICS in the context of the global transformation of the world economy is drawn.
Исследуются перспективы формирования независимой финансовой инфраструктуры в рамках объединения стран БРИКС. Основное внимание уделяется рассмотрению как уже существующих основных механизмов, таких как Пул условных валютных резервов и Новый банк развития, так и инновационных проектов, включая BRICS Clear, BRICS Bridge и BRICS Pay. Анализируются преимущества и возможности этой инфраструктуры. Выявлены барьеры, способные замедлить реализацию данных проектов. Особое внимание сосредоточено на перспективах внедрения наднациональной цифровой валюты: анализируются ее потенциал и тенденции развития финансовых институтов, участвующих в проекте. Сделан вывод о стратегической важности последовательного подхода к развитию финансовой инфраструктуры как инструмента повышения устойчивости БРИКС в условиях глобальной трансформации мировой экономики.
