<abstract xml:lang="en">
This study examines the origins and evolution of safety management systems, which have become a significant milestone in the development of risk prevention science. The paper explores the connection between these systems and the broader social, economic, and technological context of their formation. The author emphasizes the impact of digitalization, shifting climate priorities, and the transformation of governance mechanisms on modern approaches to safety management. The scientific novelty lies in a comprehensive analysis of safety perceptions across various sectors and the identification of opportunities to improve corporate strategies. The article will be of interest to researchers, regulators, business representatives, and practitioners seeking to advance innovative approaches to risk management in professional environments

<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">
