The BRICS countries can become the driving force of the global economy over the next 50 years. They have enormous joint potential, but further economic growth will require the establishment of a closer partnership. Trade and investment cooperation with China, a member of this association, has a very strong impact on the development of the participating countries, which allows experts studying the activities of the BRICS to call this association China-centric. This article examines China's economy in retrospect (indicators of GDP, exports, groups of countries and goods involved in trade, etc.), the directions of China's interaction with the participating countries, challenges for the Chinese economy and their impact on the changing opportunities for cooperation between the BRICS countries in the future. Against the background of rapidly changing events in the global space, the current problems of the Chinese economy affecting the successful development of the association are summarized. Ways of solving the identified problems are suggested. The article will be of interest to specialists in global economics (graduate students, undergraduates, academic staff, and researchers) specializing in social, economic and political issues of China's development, including international economic integration.
Страны БРИКС в течение ближайших 50 лет могут стать движущей силой мировой экономики. Они обладают огромным совместным потенциалом, однако дальнейший рост экономик потребует создания более тесного партнерства. Очень сильное влияние на развитие стран-участниц оказывает торгово-инвестиционное сотрудничество с Китаем-членом данного объединения, что позволяет экспертам в области изучения деятельности БРИКС называть данное объединение «китаецентричным». В данной статье рассматривается состояние экономики Китая в ретроспективе (показатели ВВП, экспорта, группы стран и товаров, участвующих в товарообороте и др.), направления взаимодействия Китая со странами-участницами, вызовы для китайской экономики и ее влияние на изменяющие возможности сотрудничества стран БРИКС в дальнейшей перспективе. В условиях быстроменяющихся в мировом пространстве событий обобщены актуальные проблемы китайской экономики, влияющие на успех развития рассматриваемого объединения. Предложены пути по нивелированию выявленных проблем. Статья будет интересна специалистам в области мировой экономики (аспирантам, магистрантам, преподавателям, научным сотрудникам), профилирующимся на изучении социальных, экономических и политических вопросов развития Китая, в том числе в рамках международных экономических интеграций
