<abstract xml:lang="en">
The article provides an overview of the economic reforms that various states (the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, and Japan) have implemented over the past hundred years in order to overcome global economic crises, including the Great Depression, the post-war crisis, the oil crisis of 1973-1975, the financial crisis of 2007-2009, and the coronavirus recession. It can be concluded that, at different points in time, countries have employed a variety of anti-crisis measures that are often in stark contrast to one another. Furthermore, the author identifies the principal global trends in the evolution of anti-crisis policy. The article demonstrates that, since the post-war period, governments in various countries have progressively promoted the liberalization of economic relations and the advancement of small and medium-sized businesses. It is observed that during the Great Depression and the post-war crisis, stimulating aggregate demand was a primary objective, whereas during the 1973 oil crisis, the 2007-2009 financial crisis, and the coronavirus recession, governments began to implement measures aimed at increasing aggregate supply. It is revealed that, in all the countries under study, changes in labor legislation in favor of employees and the strengthening of the role of trade unions can be observed in the context of each crisis. The article will be of interest to those engaged in the study of economic history.

<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">
