<abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article analyzes foreign research in the field of land public transport for regional trips with an emphasis on the most important quality attributes that affect passenger preferences.

Quality attributes cited as the highest priority for regional public transport passengers include frequency, comfort, reliability, travel time and network coverage. Some important features of public transport are highlighted. Firstly, on-board comfort is a higher priority for regional travel; and it becomes increasingly important as travel time increases. Secondly, network coverage and coordination are also much more important characteristics of regional public transport, presumably due to the more dispersed nature of regional public transport networks. 
These provisions should be taken into account when improving the quality parameters of transportation on public transport in Russia, including updating the range of quality indicators for transportation services recommended by national standards.</p>

<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В статье выполнен анализ зарубежных исследований в сфере сухопутного общественного транспорта для региональных поездок с акцентом на наиболее важные атрибуты качества, влияющие на предпочтения пассажиров. 
Атрибуты качества, упоминаемые в качестве наиболее приоритетных для пассажиров регионального общественного транспорта, включают частоту, комфорт, надежность, время в пути и покрытие сети. Выделены некоторые важные особенности общественного транспорта. Во-первых, комфорт на борту имеет более высокий приоритет для региональных поездок и становится все более важным с увеличением времени в пути. Во-вторых, сетевое покрытие и координация также являются более важными характеристиками регионального общественного транспорта, предположительно из-за более рассредоточенного характера региональных сетей общественного транспорта.
Эти положения следует учитывать при совершенствовании параметров качества перевозок на общественном транспорте России, включая обновление номенклатуры рекомендуемых национальными стандартами показателей качества транспортных услуг.</p>
