<abstract xml:lang="en">
The article focuses on the study of the problems of sustainable construction and environmentally oriented development based on a systematic analysis of foreign experience in green building standards for their adaptation to the national housing market in Russia.
The research purpose was to study the characteristics of sustainable construction and eco-oriented development in foreign eco-markets in the context of green standards with the development of recommendations for its application in the national investment and construction market.
The main scientific results of the research with elements of scientific novelty are as follows: the stages of the historical genesis of the sustainable construction development and the basic principles of green construction and eco-development; the structural specifics of the main foreign standards in green construction and eco-development on the example of the USA, Great Britain and Germany (LEED, BREEAM, DGNB); classification of difficulties in applying the principles of green construction with an analysis of the features stimulating and promoting green construction; and features of economic justifications for high-performance environmentally friendly buildings.
This research is aimed at scientific and practical workers of construction organizations, developers, specialists in public and municipal management, students, postgraduates and PhD students working on the formation and application of successful strategies for the development of the national green construction market.

<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">
