The development of the health capital of the population is one of the most important tasks of public policy; and subjective well-being plays an important role as a strategic guideline for improving the quality of life. Self-assessment health is a reflection of two aspects of human capital at the same time: health and subjective well-being. The research aim was to study the influence of objective environmental indicators on the subjective well-being of the population in the field of health, taking into account its gender and age structure. The least-squares estimate of linear regression coefficients in Mincer-type equations was used. The self-assessment of health was the dependent variable. It was calculated for different gender and age groups based on Rosstat microdata for the period 2014-2022. The hypothesis that regional environmental health indicators have a direct statistically significant impact on the subjective well-being of the population was refuted. The study of the influence of objective environmental factors in the context of gender and age structure on the self-assessment of health of the population showed that professional satisfaction has the maximum effect: it increases self-esteem by 19%. The number of years of accumulated education also matters (about 6%), but only for the working age population. Развитие капитала здоровьянаселения является одной из важнейших задач государственной политики, а субъективное благополучие играет важную роль в качестве стратегического ориентира для повышения качества жизни населения. Самооценка здоровья является отображением одновременно двух аспектов человеческого капитала – здоровья и субъективного благополучия. Исследование нацелено наизучениевлияния объективных показателей внешней среды на субъективное благополучиенаселения в сфере здоровья с учетом его половозрастной структуры.Методом исследования выступила МНК-оценка коэффициентов линейной регрессии в уравнениях минсеровского типа, где зависимой переменной выступиласамооценка здоровья, рассчитанная для разных половозрастных групп на основе микроданных Росстатадля периода с 2014 по 2022 годы. Результатом исследования стало опровержение гипотезы о том, что региональные показатели внешней среды в сфере здравоохранения оказывают прямое статистически значимое влияние на субъективное благополучие населения.Исследование влияния объективных факторов внешней среды в разрезе половозрастной структуры на самооценку здоровья населения показало, что максимальный оказываетпрофессиональная удовлетворенность (повышает самооценку до 19 %), также имеет значение число лет накопленного образования (около 6 %), но только для населения в трудоспособном возрасте
