<abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In the automotive industry of Iran, for many years, various tools of the catch-up development strategy have been actively used. The article provides a brief history and assessment of the results of the implementation of the strategy for the development of the Iranian automotive industry by attracting foreign investment. Despite a long history of development, the Iranian automotive industry has not yet been able to overcome the systemic problems of the industry. In view of the technological lag of the Iranian automotive industry from the world level, the question of the need to attract foreign investment to implement the development strategy has repeatedly been raised. The article is devoted to the features of the automotive industry as an object of the investment economy and reflects the most important trends in the global automotive industry. The article also analyzes the Strategy for the Development of the Automotive Industry of Iran for the period up to 2025, examines the reasons for its slow implementation, and also develops a number of recommendations to solve the problems that have arisen.</p>

<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В автомобильной промышленности Ирана уже на протяжении многих лет активно используются разные инструменты стратегии догоняющего развития. В статье приводится краткая история и оценка результатов реализации стратегии развития иранского автомобилестроения путем привлечения иностранных инвестиций. Несмотря на продолжительную историю развития, автомобильной промышленности Ирана пока не удается преодолеть системные проблемы отрасли. Ввиду технологического отставания иранской автомобильной промышленности от мирового уровня неоднократно вставал вопрос о необходимости привлечения иностранных инвестиций для реализации стратегии развития. Статья посвящена особенностям автомобилестроительной отрасли как объекта инвестиционной экономики, отражены важнейшие тенденции мирового автомобилестроения. Также в статье проводится анализ Стратегии развития автомобильной промышленности Ирана на период до 2025 года, рассматриваются причины еe медленной реализации, а также вырабатывается ряд рекомендаций по решению возникших проблем.</p>
