The peculiarities of integration in Africa are of increasing interest to the world community, due to the unique features of the continent, which is home to more than 17% of the world's population. Africa has the largest number of states, which determines the specifics of the integration model. In this article, the author defines the features of the economic integration of African countries and assesses the future prospects of integration on the African continent. The author substantiates the position that the model of economic integration of African countries differs from the models available in world practice. This model is based on regional economic communities. At first, integration in Africa is ensured at the regional level by creating and strengthening regional economic communities, which subsequently unite into a single economic union. In addition, the article highlights five main stages of economic integration in Africa, including the formation of the Union of African States, the creation of the Organization of African Unity, the formation of the African Economic Community, the African Union and the African Continental Free Trade Area. The article is intended for specialists in world economy and international relations, economists, Africanists, as well as anyone interested in integration and international economic relations in general.

Особенности интеграционных процессов в Африке вызывают все больший интерес у мирового сообщества, что обусловлено уникальными особенностями континента, на котором проживает более 17% населения нашей планеты. В Африке находится наибольшее количество государств, что обуславливает специфику интеграционной модели. В данной статье автором определены особенности экономической интеграции стран Африки и дана оценка дальнейших перспектив интеграции на африканском континенте. Автором обосновано положение о том, что модель экономической интеграции стран Африки отличается от имеющихся в мировой практике моделей и состоит в том, что основу модели составляют региональные экономические сообщества. То есть сначала интеграция в Африке обеспечивается на региональном уровне путем создания и укрепления региональных экономических сообществ, которые впоследствии объединяются в единый экономический союз. Кроме того, в статье выделено пять основных этапов экономической интеграции в Африке, включая образование Союза Африканских Государств, создание Организации африканского единства, формирование Африканского экономического сообщества, Африканского союза и Африканской континентальной зоны свободной торговли. Статья предназначена для специалистов в области мировой экономики и международных отношений, экономистов, африканистов, а также всех интересующихся вопросами интеграции и международными экономическими отношениями в целом.
